Attack the Block: Worldwide Release

If all this linkage doesn't send me to an early grave, I'll attempt to keep an eye on the film's progress around the world

This page is an erratic mess so I'm consigning older updates to below the line and just popping known release dates & festivals up here at the top.

So far, Attack the Block has attracted these baubles of appreciation.
RELEASE DATES:
FilmAuro have cut a new, dubbed trailer for their May 2012 release in Italy.

Clips, reviews and photos from the U.S. Press Tour can be found here.

Joe attended the Locarno Film Festival. IndieWire have an interview with him from Eric Kohn and here are some agency pictures from the festival, using a background inspired by a totally different kind of cat.
There's an audio interview with him
here and a video here.

Premiere Fr have an interview with Joe and bring us what I believe is the first dubbed trailer (as if their subtitled version wasn't joyous enough).

Next up, the German dubbed version........

I'm sure this is hilarious and very satirical.

================================================================================
There are a couple of worthy pieces Scott Wampler and Devin Faraci about the spurious Subtitle Issue.

Happily, an L.A. screening which invited All The Right People persuaded
Sony Screen Gems to pick up the US rights.
USC has a screening on 18th July and their link impliesthere is a US theatrical release date of 29th July, 2011.
The
Karlovy Vary International Film Festival scheduled a couple screenings and this leads me to believe it has opened in Malta.

There's a screening in
Toronto on 14th June and the lovely Alamo Drafthouse in Austin has a special screening on June 15th.

The Los Angeles Film Festival will be showing it on 22nd June.
Malaysia have a release date of 27th June 2011. Other dates in the mix seem to be 15th June for Indonesia, 21st July for The Netherlands, 27th July for France and 26th August for Finland.

In the Empire Webchat, Joe revealed that Australia had just picked up the film and
Avalon acquired it for Spain but there's no release date yet for either of those regions.

Play.com orignally had the UK release for the DVD, Blu-ray and digital versions set for 26th September 2011 and appear to be offering an exclusive Glow in the Dark Double Pack but that's now come down to a Double Play released on 19th September.

Amazon has also dropped down from a triple play to a double play.
